Jon Plester is a Philadelphia based comedy writer, performer, and filmmaker.

He performs improv with Philly Improv Theater House Improv Team DUNK TANK, the improv duo Den Mother (Steelstacks Improv Fest, Duofest Improv Festival, Hell Yes Comedy Festival, District Improv Festival), in the sketch duo Jon and Ian Have Something to Tell You  (Toronto Sketch Fest, Montreal Sketch Fest, Philly Sketch Fest, Five Dollar Comedy Week), as well as being a member of the cast for the PHIT Dynamite Series show Page One, the monthly show Oculum, and performs in an improvised movie every Friday night with Not Yet Rated. Jon premiered his one man sketch show Jon Boy at the 2017 Black Friday Comedy marathon to positive reviews.

Jon has studied sketch and improv at The Philly Improv Theater with Fred Brown, Corin Wells, Mike Marbach, Joe Moore, and at The Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC with Karin Hammerberg, Corey Brown, Zack Willis and Nicole Drespel, as well as taking workshops with Scott Adsit, Chris Gethard, Matt Besser, Susan Messing, Rachael Mason, Rich Talarico, Anthony Oberbeck and Elana Fishbein.

Jon’s goal in life is to one day make it into space, regardless of the safety hazards or circumstances. Just so he can prove his dad wrong.
